Fresno resident, Connell York, with 60 plus years in the tuning business, muses about time old creature threats to pianos. After his deeply probing WWII reminiscence (Video-Part one) he comes back with an animated encore performance.
Rats first grab the spotlight as York details their clandestine entry into uprights, followed by their painful demise after ingesting Decon. Next, enter mice with their slippery invasion of sanctified musical space, and you have a remake of a horror movie culminating in baby rodents transformed into GIGANTIC predators. (York shamelessly holds up mega-size tweezers that extricate the invaders--See inserted photo)
By comparison, the moth infiltration of hammers seems like an innocent indulgence of "filet mignon" as York had characterized it in an earlier adventure.
In any case, the wise old piano tuner marches off to a grand piano next, telling the true story of a cat trapped under its lid. What follows is hair-raising!

The ending, by comparison, is tender, moving, and frankly, a tear jerker. Be prepared to cry.
