Fresno Famous

We've always been strong on the local support and the idea of cherishing Fresno-grown businesses. So it's exciting to see the city jump on board the Best Locally Owned Business (BLOB) Awards. Think The Best of Fresno or the Bee's People's Choice Awards, but without all the Applebees and Macys.

“What makes these awards different is that only businesses that are locally owned and headquartered in Fresno can win,” said John Ostland, president of the Fresno Regional Independent Business Alliance, via a press release.  “This is a grass-roots effort to say thank you to the businesses that call Fresno home and are the backbone of our local economy.” 

FYI, the FRIB is a grassroots non-profit organization comprised of local business owners. The group is hosting the awards, which will be given out 5 p.m. April 1 at the Downtown Club.
