Chet, a hapless accountant for a Vegas mob boss, steals fifty-thousand dollars in an attempt to win the affections of his ex-wife, Cheryl. He compounds his problem by gambling away the money and is forced to flee for his life. Chased by two hit men (with a past) and the devil (who fancies himself a lounge singer), Chet tries to correct what was clearly a very bad idea. The Ballad of Chet (On the Eve of His Bliss) is a romantic comedy that literally takes you to hell and back.
