This weekend: Rogue festival
It's that time of year again.
Fresno's long-running performance art festival, Rogue, kicked off this week. The cool thing about this festival is that you never really know what you are signing up for when you attend a show. Some are pretty straight forward, some are extremely whacky, but all of them are pretty inspiring in many ways. My experience was pretty interesting last year. I caught a magician, a sword swallower and ended the evening with the NOCO show, which started off with a drag performance. It was all awesome.
Many of the shows have multiple performances. Can't catch one because it conflicts with another one? No worries. Chances are it is playing another time or even another day. I don't really believe there is one set way to describe the Rogue festival given how different all the shows are.
Be sure to check out the Rogue festival website for a full schedule and venue locations. Trust me, this is one of those things you should be crossing off your Fresno bucket list for each year.
