Fresno Famous

It’s a “scary” place.  There is no entertainment there.  There is so much crime.  There is absolutely not parking. These are some of the concerns I heard about while inquiring about going to Downtown Fresno.  All the negative things I heard turned out to be wrong.  After attending an event called “Art Hop” in Downtown Fresno, I was amazed of how many people come to this event.  There were many local artists displaying their art work through-out various locations and store fronts. As I walked and looked at the art work, I also looked around at the buildings in the surrounding areas.  There is a new residential place being developed.  There are many new businesses that have opened Downtown.  There will also be about a dozen more opened by the end of this year.  There were also many fun restaurants and bars to hang out in. 

Not once was I bored.  There is so much to do there.  I did not notice any crime at all.  As far as the parking, well there was so much parking that I could have drove my car to every location I visited and parked in front of the buildings I visited.  There is also a spiral parking lot that you do have to pay for parking.  The great thing about this is that if you go to a restaurant or bar, they will validate your parking ticket and parking is FREE.
