TONIGHT: Sister Spit and DI60Y movie night
Sometimes, I like to do a whole lot of bouncing around when there are multiple things to do. That is one of the cool things about Fresno. If you feel like being out for a night, you can REALLY go all out.
Who care's if it is a Tuesday night? It's not like people really go to bed early anyways.
Let Sister Spit and the guys in DI60Y help you out with things to do.
Sister Spit, the queer literature collective, will be making a stop at The Voice Shop in the Tower District. We got a chance to talk to Michelle Tea, the founder of Sister Spit, yesterday. Check it out here to get to know all about them. That starts at 7pm.
The guys in Dead In 60 Years will be hosting their weekly movie night again at Fulton 55. Tonight's movie? The Labyrinth. Yes, the Jim Henson-directed movie that showed the world what David Bowie looks like with wild hair and spandex. Oh wait, nevermind. Ziggy Stardust showed us that first. Anyways, it is still an amazing movie to watch. The movie starts at 8 and is a straight shot from The Voice Shop.
The cool thing about both of these events? They are free. Of course, you should bring a little bit of cash to get a book from Sister Spit and a beer from the Fulton 55 bar.
Catching both of these events will mean you'd have to miss a little of one or the other, but sometimes life is about risks, right? Have fun choosing one or going to both!
