Fresno Famous

In less than two years time one Fresno local has found a new path to stardom. Jessica Lizama a.k.a. ExoticJess (a name derived from her exotic nationality mix of Irish and Pacific Islander) has been making a big noise on the popular video website YouTube. Her unique brand of comedy has helped her build a following of nearly 100,000 loyal subscribers and well over 4 million video views. This is no easy task. 

Ms. Lizama gives credit to a her current production partner "LaughTheropy" for getting her started on YouTube. The story is that she was working on a motorcycle calendar shoot for Road Rage Performance, a local Fresno company specializing in custom built motorcycles, while Drew (LaughTheropy) was running behind the scene footage for Road Rage's YouTube channel (RoadRagePerformance). Jess was having "word vomit" (as she puts it) cracking jokes and being silly when Drew told her that she needed to start a channel on YouTube and share this funny-bubbly personality and humor with the world. So Jess gave it a shot and was very surprised by the huge response and tremendous amount of love that she was getting from her fans. She states that is has been one of the best decisions she ever made. 

Quickly finding her way to the top 1000 YouTube channels (and moving up) she has worked with almost all of the top YouTube celebrities like Shane Dawson (ShaneDawsonTV), The Annoying Orange (TheAnnoyingOrange), Olga Kay (OlgaKay), Timothy DeLaGhetto (TimothyDeLaGhetto2), and was in the very popular YouTube Assassian series by Joe Nation (JoeNationTV). There are hundreds of popular videos on YouTube where ExoticJess is sharing her unique comedy style and more every week. 

ExoticJess serves as proof that Fresno isn't a pit of despair where nothing happens and no one can amount to anything. In fact she proves that Fresno is likely a resource of untapped talent that can find their way to stardom with a little hard work and the support of friends.
