I wanted to take that old, crooked peach tree out for several years now. It's just ugly, the way it grows so crooked because whoever planted it 25 years ago planted it too close to the carport and forced it to grow crooked to get to the sunlight. Well, turns out it makes the biggest, juiciest, sweetest peaches.
I'm not too much into peaches. Don't like to eat them. But now, peach pie, that's something else.
I just learned how to make pie by buying the pie crusts, frozen from the Joe. Discovered that the crusts are so good you can put just about anything in 'em and as long as the filling tastes good the whole damn pie will be fantastic.
Preparing food reminds me of writing songs: the way a good meal can make you feel good, a good song can make you feel good as well.
