Fresno Famous

The second of the summer poetry events entitled The Poets of Fresno: Summer Reading Series, 2010 will be held on Tuesday, July 27 at 7:00 p.m. at the Revue Cafe in Fresno's Tower District. The overall series features a total of 24 poets with links to Fresno. The July reading will include Glover Davis, Angela Armstrong, James Tyner, Sam Pereira, Liz Scheid, Marcus Chinn, and David Hurst.
There were 70 to 80 poetry lovers in attendance at the June 22 reading, so it is a good idea to arrive early at the Revue since seating is limited. A voluntary donation of $5 is requested at the door. Proceeds will go toward the publication of Fresno poets through the Ash Tree Poetry Series edited by Fresno native David St. John and published by Tebot Bach, a non-profit literary press.

The final reading in the summer poetry series will be Tuesday, August 24, 7:00 p.m. at the Revue. August poets will be B. H. Boston, Michelle Brittan, Ana Garza, Connie Hales, Mike McMahon, Megan Bohigian, Mike Clifton, and Tim Z. Hernandez.
