Tripoli Celebration

Yesterday afternoon I heard sharp criticism of the overthrow of Ghaddafi from both liberal KPFA and conservative KYNO at the same time! Somethin's up when the far right and the far left agree on major foreign policy.

Thomas Yohannan said: Ideology can provide blinders, but it can also help strip them away. What's left of the Left and certain sectors of the non-neolithic right have jointly opposed militarism by Democrat and Republican governments alike over the past twenty years. Have a look at www.antiwar.com

The Dudeboy said: Politics is not liner it is a circle - so the far right and the far left meet as the circle is completed. Only time will tell what the new government will bring to Lyberia. The most radical revolutionaries become the most tyrannical rulers.

The battle in Tripoli is all over CNN and MSNBC this morning, exciting stuff! I've been so inspired by the Arab Spring, isn't this the same noble cry for Democracy as we have seen in Cairo, Damascus, etc?

Peace Activists never endorsed Obama. Although the Right constantly try to label him as a Far Left. It's just interesting to see both the Left and the Right sharply criticising him on the same issue, but for different reasons. And yet people are cheering in the streets of Tripoli because this Dictator with bloody hands is about to be deposed.
