There's no shortage of New Year's Eve fetes in Fresno this year. No matter what you're after it's not too late to plan a fabulous night.

SABOR LATINO

Celebrate the Año Nuevo Latin-style with Arte Americas or the Starline Salsa Club. Arte Americas' Spanish Nights 2006 features dinner, dancing, and a Spanish Flamenco performance by Sueno Flamenco. The event takes place at the LaRyan Event Center from 6pm to 2am. Tickets are $60 general, $50 Arte Americas members.

Shimmy your hips into 2006 with the Starline Salsa Club's New Year's Eve bash. The party starts at 9pm at the Starline in the Tower District, and includes champagne and party favors at midnight. Tickets are $15, 21 and over only.

BAR PARTY

Keep close to the source and plant yourself at one of Fresno's finer drinking establishments for the evening. Up north ring in the New Year with "A New Year's Eve at the Olive." The Dirty Olive hosts a semi-formal party with hors d'oeuvres, champagne, and a DJ. Reservations are required and tickets are $125 per couple, $75 single.

Down south enjoy a retro New Year at Richard's Prime Rib and Seafood (and piano bar). Dianne Curry will be doing her thing at the piano bar, while the nudes on velvet look on sweetly. Dinner reservations are recommended.

DANCE

House heads and trance lovers won't want to miss Energize 2006 at The Belmont. DJ's Skitzo vs. Pyro will be pumping UK hard house while Erik Forris, Omar Trance, Frankie Doors, DJ Shant P, and Mike EFEX will be playing trance, techno, and progressive. Plus a live performance by Agent-42. The show starts at 7pm and is all ages. Tickets are $8 in advance or $12 at the door. The Belmont does not serve alcohol (patrons are free to have drinks at Richard's next door an re-enter).

Party like it's 1986 with KFSR DJ's James and Raina. Hosts of the "Talk 80's to me" radio show are rocking the 80's jams at 3 Brush Gallery on New Year's Eve. The party also features live art by Noah and the paintings of Maya. Tickets are $20 couples, $15 singles and include open bar. The party starts at 9pm.

Tell me what's the word, ah - word up. Sucker DJ's get ready for 80's hip hop superstar Cameo! The Funk 'N Groove New Year's Eve Bash at Selland Arena features Cameo, Midnight Star, The Dazz Band, and Barkays. Celebrate the New Year- and 20th anniversary of the Word Up single- with party favors and a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $46 and $60.50. The show starts at 9pm. Word up.

LIVE MUSIC

Roots music fans won't want to miss the New Year's extravaganza at Full Circle Brewery. Glen Delpit and the Subterraneans ring in the New Year with their blend of danceable rock. Full Circle will provide a buffet and champagne for $10, plus all their hand crafted beers. The party starts at 9pm.

Feel like making your own music this New Year's? Fagan's Irish Pub will host a free jam session to celebrate Hogmanay, the Scottish/Celtic New Year's. Have a good pint and join in the Auld Lang Syne sing along. The party starts at 9pm and there is no cover.

DINNER THEATER

For a more mellow evening, treat yourself to dinner and a show this New Year's. Roger Rocka's Dinner Theater will feature dinner, the music of the Blues Street Jazz Band Combo, and a performance of ''Forever Plaid.'' The musical is a hilarious salute to 1950's and 60's boy bands. With champagne and party favors at midnight. Tickets are $90 per person (includes dinner).
