Please stop running to try and lose weight or get fit. I can't remember who said it first but it's now been repeated by most strength and conditioning coaches over and over. "You don't run to get fit, you must be fit to run". If you really like, maybe even love, to run then do it but if you don't, please stop. Their are better ways, and safer ways, to improve your health and get more physically fit without running. Walking, yes but understand that your going to have to commit to walking at least 10,000 steps a day if you want to do what the Dr (Oz) ordered. Try this to kick up the intensity the next time your out for a stroll to lose weight. If you walk for 30 minutes, set your watch for six minutes if you have a watch with a timer, every 6 minutes stop and perform an exercise. Your present conditioning and fitness level will determine what exercises you should be doing in those 6 minutes but use the walk as recovery time. I guarantee you will not look at walking the same after trying this once. If you would like some examples of what exercises to do at the six minute mark send an email to jesse@fresnofitnessbootcamps.com
Merry Christmas
