Walkable.org to present to Kingsburg City Council on Wednesday!

A few months ago, I posted about Dan Burden (from walkable.org) who spoke at a series of town meetings here in Kingsburg about planning strategies to make towns more "walkable".
here's my old post:

http://www.fresnofamous.com/node/5908

He shared statistics and slides about how towns have re-worked this or that and adjusted their planning to include this or that and it not only made their neighborhoods/downtowns more pedestrian friendly but it was
GOOD FOR BUSINESS.

I'm excited, because after listening to the input of residents they are finally about to present their recommendations to the Kingsburg City Council this Wednesday (Oct.17) from 4pm-6pm.

I'm hoping that supporters of city planning that incourages community
and discourages mindless sprawl, attend and let your support be known.

See you Wednesday!

Yup, was told this afternoon,
looks like this joint council/planningcommision meeting
looking at the plan cooked up by the walkable folks will be
postponed---they said early November?----
I'll definately bug y'all when it does!
