What can you do with $500? Purchase a brand new computer, take a trip, or stash it away for a gas emergency? How about helping a child complete their education? $500 is all it takes for a girl in Kenya to continue her studies. Education in Kenya is free only at the primary level. With the average income of a rural Kenyan family being $1 a day, many of these children especially the girls need financial help.
On June 20th, you will have the opportunity to extend your helping hand to these young children and meet Sue & Joel Gilbert founders of Project Jambo. Learn how you can help these children on a multiple of levels and ensure they receive a quality education.
The event will take place at the Sierra Nut House at 7901 N Blackstone Ave. Tickets for this event are $50 per person. Come and enjoy a night of food, wine and entertainment with a little African flair. A raffle will also be held and all proceeds will benefit Project Jambo.
