It's important to keep in mind regardless if you support or oppose the war in Iraq, regardless if you are a republican or democrat, conservative or liberal, our service members are still dying over there.

Now comes the hard part
Rob DeFrees
Years into the war, am reminded daily of the brave young men and women who serve our country. There is a reminder on the icebox, and am part of an organization that sends cards for holidays and packages to units stationed in Iraq.
Recently, at the 'Evening of Music' held on Calaveras met three brilliant Marines who have seen service and will more than likey have to return. Made a promist that MOI would write and sent packages while they are there.
MOI remembers the horror of Vietnam War, and lost a most dear companion there, he was but 21 when he died for his country.
Not sure about others but this old geezer never misses a chance to let the serving members of the Armed Forces know that they are appreciated and not forgot.
With the holidays coming, it would be grand if folks on Fresno Famous took a unit under their wing and let them know that they are missed and worried about. Can tell you that cards and packages are greatly appreciated and looked forward to.
Ta, TravelingBiker for reminding us of the daily sacrifice being made on our behalf a world away. We must never forget the price these brave men and women pay on our behalf.
