i'm really surprised that i'm writing a review of arby's, as well as of a fast food place. for some reason, perhaps an ancient visit, i've always had it in my mind that the food at arby's sucked. i work near one, and when i'm going to grab a bite i drive by and think, not a chance.

today, i thought, why not?

i ordereded the bbq bacon cheddar combo which comes with small curly fries and a small drink. i love small drinks, because they really aren't. but to the "burger" - it's sliced roast beef, and tasted quite good. it didn't look the best, but i'm not all that concerned with presentation at fast food, i just want a decent tasting meal. i popped a little horse radish sauce and a bit more bbq sauce and this sandwich was good to go. mix in the fries (seasoned curly fries are the best) and i'm pretty full from my quick lunch. and, it only cost me $5.45.

the service was quick and was appropriately nice. this particular location is a little beat up, and the tables could've been wiped down a little better. still a good meal though.

hey anonymous guests,
if you want to talk about community, why don't you sign in? or better yet, contribute to this community by creating content for this site, something i actually do.

and, read a few more of my reviews, they are consistently local businesses, and generally downtown or tower.

What kind of community are we creating when we continue to not only consume, but promote poor food choices?!

Yes, Arby’s may taste okay, but it’s a loaded bite. Pick your poison: workers rights, animal confinement, pollution caused by industrial ag, the carbon footprint, not keeping dollars local, bankrupt nutrition, yadda, yadda.

Most importantly, we live in one of the rare parts of the world where exceptional food is produced in abundance. Heirloom peaches from Kingsburg, Mary’s free-range chicken, or Charlotte’s rye bread… We feed half the foodies in San Francisco and LA, and often don’t have access to it in the very communities where it is produced. Why? Because we eat at Arby’s and don’t make the choice to appreciate and embrace the truly unique food culture in the Central Valley.

All I ask is to think a bit before you eat something… Yeah, we all indulge in processed foods from time to time, but let’s not celebrate it on public forums.

Do something for our community. Vote with your fork Fresno!
