Democratic Convention day 1

The Ted Kennedy tribute was moving. Touching images of his family from so many years ago. Sailing recently out on his yacht. He says it will probably be his last convention.
Caroline's song as she was introduced made a certain someone tear up:
"Sweet Caroline" by Neil Diamond.
I thought the Obamas were gracious and charming. Practical and sincere.
The kids are as cute as they come. I heard they like the spotlight.
The live orchestra was great with a selection of Motown and Disco.
IMO the Dems did what they set out to do: Make no waves, no blunders and no unscripted moments. And if they can make a few good impressions
that's all the better.

"You fools should blame yourself Hillary lost."
No. I pride myself for not voting for her. After having W. for eight years, Bill for eight before that, and Daddy Bush for 4 years, it's time for someone different. I'll be damned if any more of the good ol boys get in that house.
Do we "Out" our enemys?

As for Mrs O. I can just see her being introduced to the Queen of Enland and bumping fists.
Bill would have made a better first spose then she will ever be.
At least Bill spits his chew in the backyard.
With Hillary out there only one choice left and its not the Osama Family of suddenly Proud to be Americans.
You fools should blame yourself Hillary lost.
She was the best choice of all canidates Dem or Rep.
Atleast Mrs McCain will bring style, class and manners back into the White House.
The O's would just move W's bbq on to the front lawn and pass the 40's.
After 8 years its time for vittles to be replaced with fine food and toss out Granny Moses's critters and medicine cookbook.
We need chef's and real food in the White House.
Not "McLove'n It" Sappy Meal boxes everywhere.
Now where's my bear trap and my bear?

Hi Fresnoise!
I watched a little bit of last night's show.
Saw the speach from Michelle Obama.
I'm voting for Obama for a long list of reasons I don't wanna bother everyone with right now. After so many years of W., I'm hoping we can repair the damage done.
Having lived a few years, I guess I've earned a little cynicism when it comes to big time politics and their big spectacles.
The folks on the floor looked so hungry for the hope being promised at the podium.
I kept thinking: "Man, I hope you don't disappoint these people."
