FREE CONCERT WILL BENEFIT CHILDHOOD
LANGUAGE DISORDERS CLINIC
Music of The Beatles will be performed by Ticket to Ride

CLOVIS, September 2009 – The Friends of the Childhood Language Disorders Center will present “Come Together” a concert featuring music of The Beatles on Sunday, September 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. on the lawn at the Harlan Ranch amphitheater located at 1620 N. Leonard (near Shepherd and 168) in Clovis. Admission to the family-friendly event is free; food, beverages and snacks will be available on site for purchase.

A catered lobster dinner for eight guests will be raffled at the event, along with other fun prizes.
All proceeds from the raffle, food and beverage sales will be used to provide free treatment to children with language, learning and literacy challenges at the center.

“We currently treat about 75 children each year helping them to speak, swallow, pay attention, function and participate fully in school, ’ said Tom Tatum, the center’s director. “We maintain an average waiting list of over 30 children at any given time, and our ability to provide services is only limited by our ability to fundraise.”

About the Childhood Language Disorders Center
The Childhood Language Disorders Center, located at 1435 L Street (near Tuolumne) in Fresno, was established in 1992 and is fully-funded.  The center evaluates, treats, and advocates for children who have language, learning and literacy challenges between the ages of 18 months and 18 years of age. The therapy provided to the children is free of charge and the only requirement is that the children have documented needs and consistently attend their appointments.

The Friends of the Childhood Language Disorder Center is a non-profit community guild that was established in 2006 to help raise money for the Center.

The center is grateful for their generous sponsors who have made this event possible: Peak Broadcasting, Donoghy Sales, Inerim Home Health, Educational Employees Credit Union, Pepsi, and The Law Offices of McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte & Carruth.
