Last week we had a yummy tomato soup, rice pilaf & fruit salad. Folks share rides to the grocery store, or activities. A licensed day care is located in one home on site so - while you still pay for daycare - imagine that you won't have to travel as far to take & pick up the kids... Community kids have friends and support systems available - so no more having to schedule play dates. Add it all up & yes, you are paying a higher price for a home, but quality of life is significantly better, and the quality of the construction assure long term resale value of the homes & reduced energy costs - resulting in savings.
Plus unlike other condos - there will be an organic vegetable garden, is a workshop & craftsroom, guest room plus the usual gym, pool & laundry...
Consider this.

Great New Neighborhood
Most housing options available today isolate the family and discourage a neighborhood atmosphere: Alternatives are needed.
The goal of the community that has built La Querencia was to build homes with a lively and positive social environment. They wanted a place where children would live near playmates; where individuals would have a feeling of belonging; where they would know people of all ages; and where they would be able to grow old and continue to contribute productively.
If you are interested in living in a large, social community, having your own house with over
25 Eco-friendly features and exceptional additional amenities perhaps La Querencia is for you. We would welcome the opportunity to show you our neighborhood and invite you to make it your own.
Sincerely,
The Community of Fresno Cohousing
