When Mike Oz is away, it looks like I get to play -- on the air with Alan Autry. I'm scheduled for an appearance (in studio) between 11:30 a.m. and noon tomorrow (Friday, March 27). I'll be talking about all sorts of cool Fresno stuffs. If you want me to give you a plug, I'll do my best. Leave a comment below.
Anyway, you should all listen, which you can do at 1300 on the AM dial, or on the internet. You can also call in, they say. The number is: (559) 499-1300.

Liberal talk radio on Bubba Nation? Don't hold your breath. There are too many Famous Whitewater ass-kissers placating that station's right wing ideology. Fresno Guest sees an elephant in the living room - a very astute observation, yet a brilliant flash of the obvious. I'd say there are now four right wing stations on the Fresno radio dial - and as Guest notes, no voice for Liberals-Progressives-Democrats.

I don't think KYNO puts the show in podcast form.
Josh made it on at the end of the show. They talked about the Sleepover Disaster show Saturday and somehow Autry started a Johnny Cash discussion that Josh rolled with really well and then Josh got off a mention of what's going on at the Met and the B52 show and then the show was over. Josh didn't get any more time than that, there was NO room for the Swede festival or blogs or podcasts or any other Fresno nerd stuff that we love, he barely was able to get a fresnofamous.com mention in.
As short as it was, it was a good appearance. Bubba has got to give Josh and Mike Oz more time on the show, he is wasting their Fresno knowledge.

I listened and you did a good job considering it was such a short segment. I understand you were there as an entertainment reporter
and politics is not really in the mix. Sorry I go on and on about the politics too much sometimes.
KMJfm makes it three
With KMJfm, that makes it THREE conservative talk radio stations in Fresno, four if you count
KMPH 840am from Modesto. But, there's not enough listeners to support a liberal or moderate talk radio station? Air America was in the middle of Arbitron market share ratings when KMJ took it off the air. KYNO was nearly dead last in Arbitron ratings most recently.
Fresno podcasts and blogs
Gettin' Bubba talking about local podcast (like Flowing With Famous, Dorktown...) and blogs (the Fresnan), would be freaking awesome.
And yes, talking about the Swedes would be cool too (although I think Mike Oz already did when the second one went down, but still).

There is no global warming
I do listen to him and 1300am from time to time, although it's so difficult to cut through all the far-right religious rhetoric to find anything that is truthful. I heard Mr. Autrey, just the other day poo-poo at length global warming!? Don't stick around to listen to Dr. Laura, who comes on right after the mayor to hear her intolerant, dark ages spin on modern life.
And while I'm at it, did you hear about the new KMJ 105.9 fm? They have brought to Fresno for the first time the most extremist, hate-speech talker on the air, Michael Savage. With Obama winning Fresno County and the entire national electorate consistently turning away from conservative policies they still want to load up our local airwaves with this right-wing propaganda.
