The Met is hosting author Thomas Friedman for a lecture at the Warnors Theatre on June 25, 2009 at 5:30pm as a special fundraising event to continue to provide world-class science exhibitions and programs.
We are proud to bring Friedman, a New York Times columnist and three time Pulitzer Prize winner, to Fresno. His new book, “Hot, Flat and Crowded” discusses global warming, the stunning rise of middle class all over the world and how rapid population growth have converged in a way that could make our planet dangerously unstable.
This lecture will coincide with the Met’s Energy Day event on June 25 and the hands-on Bob the Builder™ Project: Build It! exhibition which will be this summer’s top family “educational entertainment” opportunity.
Lecture Cost: $30 museum member (special price limit 2), $40 general adult
