Do you LOVE TO DANCE? Want to check out a smorgasbord of movement styles in a community of open, friendly people? Like the idea of relaxing in a beautiful, natural environment and eating gourmet vegetarian meals? Join us as we co-create a village of dancers of all ages at the Northern California Dance Collective's Summer Dance Camp, Friday, June 19-Sunday, June 28, 2009. We’re located at Camp Hye Sierra near Kings Canyon National Park (at 4500 feet, where the days are warm and the nights are cool).
We offer daytime classes for adults in many different movement and dance styles, including 5Rhythms, contact improvisation, Sweat Your Prayers, trapeze & aerial dance, hooping, Body Choir, authentic movement, African dance, Body Tales®, yoga & Acro-Yoga, and breathwork.
You’ll also have opportunities to play music, perform, lead informal activities yourself, do art, relax by the lake, paddle a canoe, nap, play Frisbee, or otherwise create your own fun alone or with other fun-loving campers.
What else? We have a great kids’ camp program, rockin' freestyle boogies most nights, optional community conversations, and drumming around the fire. We have options for nine days (the best deal), six days or three days—whatever works for you. Bring your friends and family and leave your cares behind!
