Sort of does

Somehow off to the side before, there was a most popular blogs section, sour grapes topping the list. That list was generated somehow. The stars could add more of a visual affirmation as to which blogs are top. This could help some people develop their content for blogging.

It seems like this site is a bit of a mash of all kinds of content. I don't know that a whole lot of people grasp the whole blogging thing.

I think there are a lot of stealth readers...

i'm a huge fan of ratings, but the problem with ratings on blogs currently, is i can't really think of any way to use those ratings. like its pretty obvious with the bands, but it doesn't seem natural to sort blogs by rating... or does it?

hey, ratings on blogs could be good, too, if it didn't just become some petty little insult feature. because, i know there are some pretty good bloggers on here, and i know there are some average ones, too. and, yep, some pretty bad ones, that are generally just spammer types.

sorry about the stars on the blogs, i was playing with the new rating module, and was just testing it out on different content types. i took it off the blogs because it really isn't applicable. you are exactly right about it being used for restaurants and music, that's our plan for it!

okay, you've got me curious enough to ask about the whole star thing. i've seen it on the blogs, and now you've got it on the bands. it makes sense to me for music or restaurants or stuff like that, but why on the blogs? just curious.
