Don't buy a KMJ Dining Deal Certificate for Pacific Seafood, they will not honor it. I had a certificate & walked out after 10 minutes trying to get the owner to take it, and ended up paying full price and throwing it at the owner. In this economy you'd think they'd be more understanding.
Also, they are not kid friendly. The have a kids menu but when we asked for juice (since we don't like our 1 year old to drink soda) they said "how about Sierra Mist, it doesn't have caffeine?" Yeah, neither does wine, but I still don't want my kids to drink it.
I ordered the Seafood Platter & everything was a little overcooked, especially the side of steak fries. My wife ordered the steak and snow crab legs, and her meal was acceptable. Only the clam chowder is what I would call good.
Definitely do not recommend, though. Service was subpar, and the food was only okay. Nothing memorable. Red Lobster down the street has better atmosphere and service and the food is just as good or better with more variety. It's a shame since my wife and I we usually try to support local business.
Finally, not to be too nit picky, but at the end of our meal we noticed there was a dead cricket on the base of the column next to our table. Gross! This, combined with the owner's unwillingness to honor our KMJ Dining Deal Certificate, ruined what otherwise would have been just a forgettable meal. We were happy to leave and will not be returning.
Pacific Seafood Please Beware!
My girlfriend and I went their for dinner on our anniversary in August of 2009. As I was walking in I saw what I appeared to be a dead cockroach by the table we were seated at. We should have left then but since it used to be one of my favorite places to eat I just didn't think much of it. We both ordered the charbroiled snapper. Our fish arrived to us and it was cold and tasted funny. We should have returned it but we made the mistake of eating some it and we both got food poisoning from it. I did not want to bother the waitress because it was not her fault so I simply got boxes and said we would take it home and reheat it, I left her a good tip and told her I would call the owner tomorrow to let her know. So after we recovered and sought medical attention I informed the owner OTT that we had become sick at the restaurant. She told me that no one else got sick on that day. I explained to her that our fish according to the medical examiner we had could have been not kept at room temperature or not cooked properly. Our medical examiner had seen this before. OTT refused to refund my money and also would not return my phone calls. Please avoid Pacific Seafood, it used to be a wonderful place to get good seafood but now they have sanitation issues and don't care about the food safety of their customers and a restaurant with dead bugs is simply not clean. It does not surprise me that they now have a bug problem both crickets and cockroaches. I would not eat there again.......Beware!
Seriously
First thing tomorrow, call the Board of health and report the dead bug and then call KMJ and ask for whatever money you spent on that phoney certificate. If KMJ wont deal wiht it, call Appletons show and complain live ont he air. Then call 47 on your side.
