As a paranormal investigator in Fresno I periodically investigate claims of hauntings, ghost stories, UFO sightings, or other paranormal activity throughout the Central Valley. I gather and examine what is the physical evidence and render an opinon if there is a haunting or paranormal activity. Some investigators will try to proove a paranormal existance. My goal is to dispoove the paranormal and render an unbiased opinion about a locations activity or lack of. Most paranormal activity can be explained away or debunked using scientific methods or logical investigative techniques. This blog will periodically be updated with the conclusions to investigations I have conducted.

"You say this place is haunted like it's a bad thing."
The thing that is truly frightening...
While I appreciate the earnestness with which you approach your paranormal investigations and I'm sure you are being honest about the things you think you experienced, the thing that is truly maddening about your posts is...your writing.
I don't mean to be slamming you. I know you are trying to be serious and professional - but it comes off as hack. It's the spelling...
"Some investigators will try to proove a paranormal existance. My goal is to dispoove..."
and phrasing...
"This last winter we trekked to Channel road where it was pitch black in the darkness of night."
Ugh! Dude, it just reeks of bad writing 101. And there's nothing paranormal about that.
Mountain View Cemetery yields it activity
Due to circumstances out of our control, my partner Larry and I were not able to investigate a residence in the old Fig Garden area. At the last minute we decided on plan B ... the Mountain View Cemetery. The cemetery is located on the Hughes side of the "Belmont" cemetery, which is on West of FWY 99. It was around midnight or so, when we went in to the East from Hughes avenue on the driveway. We were approximately 100 yards into the cemetery and I was shooting photographs and Larry was running a recorder for possible EVPs. Larry was standing about 10 feet from the left side, when I felt a touch on my right shoulder. The pressure was moderate and only lasted for about four seconds. The pressure did not dissipate, but rather stopped suddenly as if someone pulled their hand away, when I asked are you touching me? For sure it wasn't larry because he was several feet away. We hung around for a few more minutes and went back northwest into the grassy area of the cemetery. At this point with the recorder running, Larry had asked if what ever was there wanted us to stay? I then asked do you want us to go? The recording revealed a voice which said "go". We had made our way back to the driveway and on a whim I shot a photograph East up the driveway. Larry and I called it a night after this.
Upon examination of the photographs I discovered three anomalies in the images. The first was a glowing orb above a headstone which was approximately 30 feet South of the driveway, in the same area in which I was touched. On the same headstone was a dark colored orb on it's West side. There were numerous insects in the cemetery that night however appeared differently than the two orbs. In the images I also discovered a near full body apparition on the driveway, again in the area in which I was touched. This was on he last image I took East on the driveway. The apparition has what appears to be a head, shoulders, and the upper portion of legs... with possibly red pants. Not sure.
To eliminate the possibility of other objects which may have come across as these anomalies I returned to the cemetery in the daylight hours. I shot several images aligning myself in nearly the exact places in which they were taken. On the headstone with the two orbs I made a shocking discovery. Obviously the midair orb was no longer present. I thought for sure I would find discoloration of the headstone which would explain the dark orb. However... none was present. The image from the driveway produced what may have possibly contributed to the apparition. A small headstone in the distance may have contributed, however... The headstone does not align with the apparition in the photograph. The apparition is more toward the center of the roadway instead of on the shoulder. This photo remains for scrutiny.

The Adorable Poodle Salon legend makes it's new mark
One of the legendary ghost stories of Fresno centers around what was once known as the Adorable Poodle Salon. The dog grooming facility was a relative small but seemingly successful business for a short while. During it’s tenure the salon allegedly employed unknown named young female pet groomer. Legend has it this young woman attracted the unwanted attention of a poltergeist. The poltergeist supposedly liked to touch the young woman and at one it felt as if it had kissed her on her neck. I have read of stories of large heavy plants being moved in the building and other strange occurrences.
For some time now, there has been speculation as to the exact location of the now former Adorable Poodle Salon. During my research I headed to the Fresno Co. Library to research the location. I decided to examine old telephone books to in an attempt to locate such a salon, or even if it really even existed at all. I went through telephone directories from the 1970’s - 1980’s and made the discovery. The exact location of the Adorable Poodle Salon was at 4680 N. Blackstone, located on the east side of the street south of Shaw Ave. The once Adorable Poodle Salon now houses Inksane Asylum Tattoo parlor. The interior of the business now also occupies the adjoining address to the south. The wall once separating the two has been removed for expansion. In speaking with the owner of Inksane Asylum, L-Jay, he told me he does experience things being moved from time to time, but has always dismissed it as another employee moving the objects. He doesn’t report any other activity in the building. I examined the building with an electromagnetic field meter and found high EMFs throughout the building. Most likely being attributed to old wiring. Other than that I did not experience anything other than.
What ever was at the Adorable Poodle Salon may have found it’s nitch with Inksane Asylum. Or perhaps it is waiting to make it’s mark on the tattoo parlor by reveling it’s presence once again.

Real bumps in the night at home near McKinley and Maroa
In October 2008, my assocaites and I had an opportunity to investigate a private residence in the area of McKinley and Maroa in Fresno. The address is being withheld, out of respect for the home owners. It was reported to us that multiple witnesses, had multiple sightings of a female spirit dressed in clothing from the 1890's in the hallway of the home. It was also reported to us there was a suicide in the home during the 1970's.
During and after the investigation numerous sounds of unknown origin could be heard by investigators and on video. Orb activity which was captured on video, and is believed NOT to be dust or an insect. In one instance during the examination, a door in the room in which the suicide occurred opened on it's own. This occurrence happened during talk of the suicide, and when "the spirit" was asked to show itself. The event was eye witnessed as well as captured on an audio reorder.
My conclusion to this investigation is that there is paranormal activity in the home. Further investigation needs to be done to determine if the home is truly haunted.

The legend of Channel Road in Sanger
If you look on a map, Southeast of Sanger lies a stretch of road which to a passing glance wouldn’t bring a second thought. But to others who have traveled the road, the same spot on the map can bring thoughts of terror. For years now a story has been circulating about the ghostly woman who walks Channel Road (aka: Snake Road). The Snake name comes from the winding turns which make up the nearly two mile stretch at the North end of the road, South of Annadale Ave. Along the West side of the road runs a finger of the dry river bed. The story goes a woman was driving Channel road one night with her two children. The woman lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the river. Prior to the vehicle coming to a rest in the water the woman was ejected from the vehicle. With her two children trapped inside, the car became submerged. The woman who was severally injured tried to free her children from the wreckage but was unsuccessful. The woman later succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene.
So now the legend was born. Travelers of Channel road have reportedly seen the ghostly white figure walking down Channel road on foggy nights, crying and calling out for her children who were killed. Her weeps could be heard from several areas along Channel road. People who stop on the road can hear her cries.
Hearing the legends, we decided to investigate these claims. This last winter we trekked to Channel road where it was pitch black in the darkness of night. The only lights around were from farm houses near by. It was cold and the fog was rolling in. We parked and walked down Channel road. With recorders running, we asked the possible spirits questions to see it we could raise a response. We also took photographs along the way. Suddenly something came into view which we weren’t expecting. A white figure about 4 to 5 feet tall along the East side of the road. Not fearing these kinds of things we gained ground. As we got closer, we realized what we were seeing. There off the shoulder of the road were two white posts side by side. The posts were on a curve, and we came to the conclusion that if someone was driving and saw these in the fog, knowing the legend, they would believe they were witness to the Channel road spirit. We examined the road quite a bit more that night. Nothing out the ordinary. We did however discover that Channel road was quite the party spot and illegal dump site for some. We found numerous beer and liquor bottles, an old couch, and an old console TV. A virtual party right there on the side of the road. So we figured if someone was blowing a blood alcohol level of a .08, it’s foggy, if they saw the two posts, most definitely it could be construed as a person standing there. This still didn’t explain the ghostly sounds of the woman crying though. This question didn’t get answered until about 5 minutes before we left. Off in the distance about 200 yards away, we heard a pack coyotes yelping. That explained the cries people may have heard.
Later on, a further examination of the recordings and photographs revealed nothing out of the ordinary. To date, there are no California Highway Patrol records of a triple fatal car accident along Channel road. Until other significant evidence arises the Channel road case is closed. If you have any additional information about any fatalities along Channel road please let us know and we can look into it further.
