The "cruelest show on Earth" is coming to Fresno, and we need your help to raise awareness about the cruelty and violence that go on behind the scenes at the circus. When Ringling is in your town, it’s up to kind people like you to let Ringling know that this cruel show is not welcome!
Experts, eyewitnesses, and video footage prove that physical abuse is standard practice for training elephants in circuses. Ringling’s trainers have been observed hitting and jabbing elephants, including babies, with sharp steel-tipped rods called "bullhooks." We understand that Ringling causes pain and suffering to animals, but we must share this with others so that they, too, will boycott the circus.
We hope that you will take some time out of your busy schedule to join forces with local activists for an exciting and important opening night demonstration:

Why don't you put this much
Why don't you put this much effort into our kids I think kids are more important than animals. There are thousands of children getting beat everyday Let's worry more about that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...
I do use my time for good causes! I volunteer for San Juaquin River Parkway & I know that two other girls volunteer at Planned Parenthood.
I know were not ganna shut Ringlin Bro off just by doing this, but it will defetnely bring awareness to people that don't know any of the "facts"
A lot of people don't look into information like this that's why were here.
We know everyone isn't going to agree with us! But were here to educate people that aren't ignorant & belive in change. Theirs no reason for animals to be taken out of their natural habitat, be trained to do "tricks" jumping threw hoops & standing on their heads, be caged for 80% of their lives, 20% in performances! & Transported in hot boxcars. All just for human entertainment & MONEY!
If you don't agree with what were doing, just ignore us & move on with your life!
Thank You! :]
wow, seriously.
Find something more constructive to do to your time... like maybe research recent REAL facts about the circus or investing all that extra energy into volunteering for worthwhile causes around your city.
Hate to break it to you but it's not going to do much of a difference - most of the people that are showing up already bought their tickets. Highly doubt they'll see you and turn away.
Cheers!
Everyone is a hypocrite.
Word.

agree
that show, its ridiculous. Honestly though their cause is a legitimate. They have every right to protest. Determining if they are hypocrites is entirely pointless to argue. Its obvious they are. Let them deal with there thing. Everyone has their cause. Everyone is a hypocrite.
Let's tourture babies instead....
Veg09, I don't see your group protesting NBC TV shows such as "Baby Borrowers."
Why not?
Seems like that would be a WAY worthier cause...
Shit, last night on the news and in today’s Bee it discussed how bringing up a kid in the valley will cause them to die before their parents, yet we continue to blindly murder our own kids daily by just living and trying to breath / eat / play in Fresno.

I went by there to check it out
I saw a few horses and a llama in a small pen covered by a hot tent.
I also noticed it was a set up on the big dirt lot.
I have a letter that the City sent everyone on my block stating it is illegal to park on the dirt.
Yet they are doing it at Hanoian's.
Looks like the city picks who and chooses which rules they enforce.
I find it interesting the City constantly bothers homeowners, but looks the other way on slumlords and trashed vacant eyesore buildings like Hanoian's
I also noticed all the drunks sitting around the property.
Hanoian still runs a liquor store and lets the drunks drink on his property.
I know this is a violation of ABC rules and City rules.
Yet I counted 4 police cars and a Community Service officer drive right past the drunks. The drug dealer I see sometimes by the Fulton Mall clock tower was hanging around.
Old fat wannabe bulldog in a motorized wheel chair.
Just be glad Mike Dages lost as Mayor or Fresno would look like this.
Also another interesting thing about Hanoian I found out.
All those guys working the swap meet parking on sundays at Hanoian's are paid cash under the table.
There are at least 15 employees.
Lets see 30+ years of not paying State or Federal payroll and income taxes?
Sounds like someone does get special treatment.
Got any proof to back up
Got any proof to back up those claims or do you prefer to hide behind the anonymity of the name Fresno Guest?
But nobody protests the National Circus of Mexico
It's been set up in the Old Hanoian's dirt field at Cedar and Butler the last 2 weeks.
Oh but can't accuse them of animal cruelty because its not politicaly correct.
Stuck in hot tents and pens in the sun.
Also people can't park or set up tents on thier lawns or vacant lots they own.
It's a clear violation of zoning codes.
Why is Robert Hanoian allowed to break the law?
Is it because he is rich?
Does Cde Enforcement look the other way?
Or is it because he is Armenian and has connections at Code Enforcement.
Why does Code Enforcement selectivly enforce the rules?
