In these unsettling economic times, it sure is nice to know that
your pals in The Trike Shop are bringing you a couple of FREE shows.
---actually, we're not bringing them, we're just playing at them.
They're both intresting in their own right, and put on by people pursuing the highest of ideals. Check it out:
#1--Tues.Sept.30-- This one is up in Auberry at the Library--actually right outside of the Library on a nice grassy lawn. We play one solid hour-and-a-half set---from 7pm-8:30 pm and it's FREE.
The Friends of the Auberry Library *really* have it together, bringing various cultural events up to their mountain community--props to them.
Auberry is about 40 minutes from Fresno---up the 168 and turn left on Auberry Road just before that big Freeway takes you up to Shaver.
Good music. Good vibe.
#2--Thurs.Oct.2-- Come to this one *after* Arthop, but *before* the after party at Tokyo gets going---NONSTOPFUN!
This one won't cost you money, but it might cost you a toothbrush!
Some students at Pacific University are putting on a show that will cost you one item from the "MCC" health kits----basically it means you bring a toothbrush (new of course, yech!) , a bar of soap,etc--they compile these into packages that are sent to folks in dire need (like *refugee camp" kind of dire need)---and you get music from 7-10pm with Karen Reed, Jonah & the Whale, Brother Luke and Blake Jones & the Trike Shop (that's us!). Come on out for a good cause and good music!
