Viva ... Down with (Fresno's winners and losers for the week)

Viva... Fresno college sports teams. Whether or not you care about sports, good news is good news and worthy of note. To that point, Fresno State's football team will be playing in the New Mexico Bowl. This is an ESPN event that should draw a big television audience. Or so I heard on the radio last night. Across town Fresno Pacific University's volleyball players owned it again. The school seems to always have good teams and doesn't get the attention it deserves. If you believe good sports team deserve attention.

Viva... downtown housing. This is a good season for anyone who thinks downtown living is a noble cause. The first residents are moving into the Iron Bird Lofts, there is movement on another Assemi project down Broadways St. and this was supposed to be the week that Granville broke ground on the Fulton Village. That was delayed because of possible rain. the optimist in me is smiling big and saying this is a good sign.

Down with...Using Famous post to advertise your crappy business. OK, it might (might) be a legitimate business and lord knows it's hard to find good strippers. But we have classifieds for that. Reminder: While we tend to ere on the side of not deleting posts, readers can flag content they feel is inappropriate or interfering with their enjoyment of the site.

i'll flag away on that down

i hadn't thought about the flagging process. but, i'll agree down with businesses that post "blogs" rather than placing their ads in the free classifieds.

down with the stripper ads in the blogs

I think it's ok to advertise strippers in the adult services section of the classifieds. Pay for your space to advertise just like your johns pay to get off. At $225 an hour you should have plenty of money to buy a little classified ad in the adult services section.

Please for the sake of all that is decent in this world, take down the stripper ads in the blogs!!! It's called a blog not an ad.

It's also one thing for pimps to cast a net for johns, but it's quite another to cast a net for young girls to come join up and learn the stripper/prostitution business.
