Ed's point of there being more blogsite options than there were when Jarah was running the site, is the number one reason why the buzz here isn't the same. I think things will come back around to F-Famous, but it simply isn't possible for it to be the same dominate force, what with all the options now.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the Beehive. I enjoy it. I go there almost every day. Over there, the very capable and skilled bloggers set the topics of conversation.---
HERE, if people participate, is a place where YOU THE READER set the topics. Sure, folks have their personal blogs, and invest time and energy in them, and God bless 'em, but HERE is a great opportunity for community discussion.
I'm not sure why all the tumbleweeds.
I'm also not sure how to get it buzzing again.
I think it'd be good if Ffamous were thriving.

ads ran them off? come on, there are ads on every page of the beehive.
i'd guess it's more that communities, even online ones, change over time. what was originated by a handful of people has changed. there are less people contributing content to the site, thus less people interacting via comments. conversations can become dominated by a few cranks (myself included) and that may cut down on comments.
add to all of this a growing fresno based internet community. when ff started there weren't that many fresno blogs or bloggers. now, there's a multitude.
it's a tough world, that crazy web. hard to survive.
