Where have the concerts gone??

I wonder why there hasn't been any major concerts in town this year (or if there has, why I haven't heard about them).
Last year Ozzy came to town, and ZZ Top played here, and I remember hearing about great concerts here in previous years (I've never lived here before last year), but this year it seems like nothing is happening.
When I lived in LA it seemed like there were great concerts every month, and smaller more local bands played every weekend. I wish Fresno was like that.
Ofcourse Fresno does have it's local bands that play here on the weekends at the Crossroads and Jimbos, but I haven't been real impressed with the bands that I've seen play there, or with the cover charge that's required to sit in there and enjoy a beer because there is a crappy band playing.
Please! If you're going to require a cover charge, get a decent band for christs sake!

Thanks alot for sharing that great link Mike! You're right, it's not what my post was about, but it's got alot of great talent and I'm definatley going to go to see some of them... As a matter of fact I think I'm going to go to see one tonight ;)

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but you can find a lot of upcoming concerts and shows in Post No Bills each Friday at FresnoBeehive.com. It has a lot of other stuff in it too -- nightclubs, comedy, etc. -- but there's a lot of local music and whatnot.
