Veteran services will be offered such as applying for CA ID cards, Social Security cards, medical/mental health referrals, educational/employment opportunities, and court assistance. The event is open to all Active, Reserves, and Veteran military personnel.

    The Center for Creativity & the Arts brings renowned sculptor Jonathan Brilliant as artist in residence at Fresno State September 7 – 20, in the Henry Madden Library.

    The public may observe the artist at work, Monday through Friday, 10 am - 5 pm The large sculpture will remain on view until September 30.

    Brilliant’s massive structures woven out of 30k to 50k coffee sticks have been exhibited internationally. The works rely on tension and compression for stability, and no glue.

    Fiber artist Sherry McKeever joins watercolor artist Marilyn Torchin in exhibiting their vibrant works of art September 6-22, at Studio 74 in the Tower District. An Arthop opening reception for the show on Thursday, September 6th from 5-9 pm, will feature electronic improvisational music on the patio by Respectable Citizen from 6-9 pm.

    Drought Tolerant (Revisited) is playing for this special concert. The members have been friends for 30+ years and have performed in lots of musical groups. They were active in the Fresno area during the 90's and play a contemporary style of bluegrass--from Bill Monroe to the Beatles, with lots of harmony singing. The members are Lily Murray (vocals), Bearrr Murray (bass and vocals), Bob Garcia (mandolin and vocals), Bruce Honeyman (guitar and vocals). Joining them on banjo is Tom Naiman.
