2013 Bullard High School Boys and Girls Little Knights Basketball League. Come sign your son or daughter up for the annual LIttle Knights Basketball League. This league is open to boys and girls in grades K-8. SIgn ups will be on Sat. November 3rd and 10th from 2pm - 4pm in the court house at Bullard High. By touring the city on foot, whether a visitor or a resident of the Central Valley, uncovers the hidden gems that you just don't see driving by.
This collection exhibits dynamic works created by 13 of California’s foremost environmental artists who collaborated to communicate a heightened connection to their natural surroundings through rich imagery using a variety of media from the traditional (photographs, painting, and video) to the unconventional (smog /particulate matter on porcelain).
Together, their approach is multidisciplinary, drawing on art, science, spirituality, and social justice.

3 different speakers from Overeaters Anonymous will be talking on how they work their program of dealing with compulsive eating. The event will celebrate the unity within the OA membership despite differences to achieve recovery. Excellent exposure as to what is the program of OA & details different ways to attain recovery. Those never before to OA are welcome. Lunch approx 11:45 am. Speakers will begin between 12:30 & 1:00 pm. Suggested that attendees be Junior High age or older.
Class to learn about how to care for and grow beautiful roses organically, without pesticides, herbicides or other chemicals. Have healthy, beautiful, vibrant roses and no chemical smells or toxins from traditional rose care. Class taught by Randy Ritchie of Malibu Compost. Randy and Malibu Compost remediated the soil at the historic Morcom Rose Garden in Oakland and brought 5,000 roses back to health using compost tea, compost and other organic practices. Free compost tea for all who attend!

For the month of February (Feb 1-28), find your true love at ARF. All chihuahuas and chihuahua mixes have a lowered adoption price of $100. This includes the spay or neuter, all shots including rabies, microchip, and heartworm test.
Adoption hours are Friday-Sunday 12:30-4:30 and Wednesdays 2:00-5:00.

Keeping alive the tradition of documenting local landscapes through painting on location, the San Joaquin Plein Aire Painters are presenting their work at Studio 74, February 7-23. Featured artists are Sandy Kowallis, Nancy Kemmer, Marilyn Torchin, Jocelyne Starkey, Maxine Fargason and Hallie Grant.
Opening with an Art Hop reception on Thursday, February 7, from 5-9 pm, Art Hop is an opportunity to meet the artists, discuss and purchase their work! The Gallery is open Monday-Saturday 1-6pm.

About the artists:
Jesús Montoya is from Seville, Spain. Born into the one of the oldest Gypsy families.An accomplished recording artist as well as a double winner of the 2007 Grammy Awards, including CD’s of original compositions as well as collaborations with various world class artists true master of the flamenco arts.Jesús is a man of overwhelming integrity. In addition to his Spanish and European touring credentials, he has toured tirelessly with major flamenco companies throughout the United States and Canada.
José Tanaka (Guitarist), Born in Kyoto Japan, and raised by family steeped in the Flamenco arts (his father & his uncle both are Flamenco guitarists & his mother is a Flamenco dancer).
Mizuho Sato was born in Iwate, Japan and studied in Seville, Spain, taking classes from prestigious instructors and started performing in several well known tablaos. In the year 2000, she received awards from the Japanese Flamenco Association and the Ambassador of Spain.
Vanessa Acosta-Albalos was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, which is where she grew up the early years of her life. She is viewed as an extraordinary artist and is considered by many of her colleagues and aficionados to be an “exception to the rule” as she has never trained in Spain and captures and inspires audiences at home and abroad and has become one of the most sought after flamenco dancers.
