This collection exhibits dynamic works created by 13 of California’s foremost environmental artists who collaborated to communicate a heightened connection to their natural surroundings through rich imagery using a variety of media from the traditional (photographs, painting, and video) to the unconventional (smog /particulate matter on porcelain).
Together, their approach is multidisciplinary, drawing on art, science, spirituality, and social justice.

In conjunction with International Women’s Day, this event is dedicated to the creativity of indigenous women. Not to be confused with a weekly swap meet, this event is a recreation of the colorido of Oaxacan plazas, where people from different towns share their foods, produce, clothes, and artistic expression through music and dance. Nuestra Plaza is organized by a group of indigenous women who have been practicing their traditional culinary skills while generating income for their families.

The Renaissance Feast for Scholars is the annual signature event for State Center Community College Foundation. Set in the historic library of Fresno City College, the room is transformed so that guests can appreciate the Renaissance flair. Renaissance royalty and court performers entertain throughout the evening, which includes musicians, a gourmet dinner and an exciting auction. Through ticket sales, sponsorships and auction proceeds, money raised benefit student scholarships and programs.
