REGARDING 'carpet bombing' scroll postings on the 'recent posts,' list

Obviously this Penelope Jones person is either spamming the main board, -or somebody is taking their block of posted info and just re-plastering.
-Are there any ways that we (as site participants,) can block out certain names from that which our computers 'see,' (In other words, No disrespect to Ms. Jones, -since they are not currently posting anything that I care to view, -are there any ways to 'block,' them from view, -and therefore be able to filter out the endless miles of glorious notice regarding Manheim Steamroller? (Or whatever other post that is being used to obliterate the 'recently posted,' board.)
PS: -you guys realize that you are also advertising the concert (still,) in the site header, --and it was a week ago. (updating that wouldn't 'switch off,' anythiing, would it?'
