Twitter Taking Too Long to Load

I've had intermittent problems with the front page not loading completely. It seems like it renders everything until it gets to the twitter section, where it hangs. Usually I just wait a couple of minutes and eventually I'm able to reload, but it is annoying. Can twitter be fixed, or moved off the front page at least? Is it that important to the average Famous user? Or am I the only one with this problem?

it suffers from growing pains. Usually about once a week. I don't know the stats but I'd suspect the number of users is growing exponentially.
