Fresno Cultural Arts Conference - Connecting Community: the Cultural Arts Impact
The Fresno Coalition for Art, Science & History is holding its inagural annual cultural arts conference.
The Morning Keynote Address:
Muriel Johnson, Executive Director for the California Arts Council(CAC) will speak about Arts Funding in California and the Central Valley; and Michael Alexnder, Board President for the CAC will speak on Audience Development.
Morning Breakout Session will focus on issues pertinent to Cultural Arts Providers such as funding, marketing, board development.
The Lunch Keynote Speaker will be Mary Margaret Schoenfeld, Community Development Manager for the Americans for the Arts (AFTA). Mary Margaret will speak about the AFTA's recently released national study: Arts & Economic Prosperity III: The Economic Impact of Nonprofit Arts and Culture Organizations and Their Audiences.
FCASH will launch the Fresno County Cultrual Arts Economic Impact Study and Schoenfeld will talk about its impact to the cultural arts organizations and our valley.
Afternoon Breakouts will convene:
The Fresno Film Industry
Cultural Arts Education
Cultural Heritage Tourism
The Creative Community
The day will complete with a dynamic extravaganza - Patrick Contreras's American Gypsy and Cultural Arts Partner Awards.
