If a plane crashes and no one notices...

You are likely in Visalia. A small, private plane crashed on the runway at 6:30pm Friday, killing Bernie and Betty Sinor of Visalia and their two young grandchildren. According to news reports, an eyewitness rushed to the fire department to report the accident. The Visalia FD was slow to arrive, and apparently missed the wreckage because it was dark and the plane was not on fire.

It wasn't until the Sinor's relatives called the airport four hours later that an airport employee noticed the wreck on the runway. Fire department and airport officials say the are conducting an investigation into the embarrassing response time.
