Arson, hateful or just plain crazy

Watching the news last night I saw that the Tower neighborhood has had yet another business catch fire in only a few weeks. The fact that the first two fires were Gay Clubs seemed to signal hate crimes; but now with the third being a bail bonds office I wonder if it is simply the case of some crazy arsonist who lives in the neighborhood and doesn't have a the kind of transportation that would allow them to burn up businesses on the other side of town.

Thoughts?

I dunno what to think

I thought hate crime at first too...but isnt the bail bonds office right next door or right behind one of the clubs that was hit too?

Now I'm thinking maybe locale-related. But it's more likely some nut pyro who doesnt get around much...probably lives in the area.

If anyone remembers "Hot Rocks" in the Tower or what ever the place was called before it was "The Landmark" the owner tried to burn it down for the insurance, but it was stopped, before any fire destroyed it, I really can't remember that much detail about the story, but I think the guy went to Jail.

Insurance?

I believe the most common cause for arson is to collect on the insurance.

Ideas on arson

Unfortunately, kids who are sexually abused tend to become firestarters. Why someone would want to burn gay clubs and bail bond offices is beyond me. Maybe these businesses wronged the same person. Maybe the person didn't get to go to burningman this year...
