Honest Answers
Good to see that someone actually answered the 'Famous Person' questions with a level of honesty. I also do not see it as "hot or not" although, there is a tricky fine line that some people can cross when anonymously posting comments about someone and the price they pay for shoes. But then again, anyone who thinks they're fashionista enough to trash-talk someone's shoes in this town can only make themselves look like a real jerk by stating thier opinions publicly.
famous person
Aurora has kind eyes.
sorry suzi
never knew that there was a 'chatter' forum.
cool, I learned something new today.
(well, another something new, -like, there are people (who are lovely, yes, she is,)
-who will pay a reasonable price for a pair of shoes...
(and not the 'several hundred' I tend to read about...)
-I'll defer to other 'on topics,' to ask what she'd pay for tires.)
(Though when I think of Luke's interjection about the homeless having their things cruched up and thrown away, (posted a day or so back,) --
-and finally, '...my gawd, somebody who actually spends money wisely in a town where others will spend a ton, ---and others, minutes away, with no shoes anymore...' it's an interesting mosaic, no?)
-also that F.A. is a guy... (thought they said that they were a cookie?)
staying on topic
is the topic in this particular thread specifically aurora, or the more general topic of a "famous" person? if the latter, then i was on-topic. if the former, what do you guys think about aurora not being willing to pay over 20 bucks? you think her feet are pissed?
off-topic defined
Gentlemen,
Please explain to me how your comments have anything to do with the lovely lady at the top of this page, other than completely detracting from relevent content.
Actually, don't explain it at all but take posts like this to the 'chatter' forum. That's what it is there for.
We are getting a lot of complaints from our readers regarding long off-topic comments. Closing comments on such threads is our only recourse, and having to do that would totally suck.
Thanks.
amazing
edit because that wasn't nice of me. anyway, i can see some folks thought i was serious. alas, i was only joking about wanting my picture taken. it was my attempt at humour. apparently, i don't understand my audience. however, i remain convinced that everybody thinks "hot or not" when they read the comment link.
void - thanks for the encouragement.
Re: famous peeps
Awww you want your photo taken that badly??
And, no, you can't speak for all of us. I don't think "hot or not".
photo ops
Famous Amos.
You make me stretch to think when I read... that's unusual, and I like that... (and earnestly hope your keyboard has kevlar...)
Having your picture taken may or may not be such a hot idea, -provided that you raise questions, points, hackles, and ire.
I'd consider the privacy a blessing.
-in days of yore, they'd burn the talented, witches, philosophers, religious, and commoners...
(And the 'they,' were sometimes talented, witches, philosophers, religous, and commoners themselves...)
-makes you wonder about the valley's obsession with Barbecue, doesn't it?
-and why the veggies, vegans, and Mennonites are heavily armed.
(with retorts.)
-here's to fireproof underwear....
(though you have to admit, being compared to a third grader chasing others with a bugger is creative and 'snot so bad...
---at least they didn't say that you were the kid who makes fart noises by putting your hand in yer armpit, and flapping like a duck... (maybe it was the armpit farter who wrote the comment...)
'..Oh jealousy, the green thing that raises it's ugly head at the strangest times,,, (and apparently cannot compete with the other green thing cited.)
(-I was too busy clapping the erasers together, getting miners lung to notice, which villager it was...)
-cheers
Don't take this personally, or do..whatever.
Do you just spend all day reading the "Terms & Conditions?" Do you also question science facts in episodes of Star Trek? Are you that bored? Your concern is annoying. Annoying like a 3rd grader chasing you with a booger. Stop chasing Fresno Famous with your boogers.
famous peeps
i assume people who are being photographed for purposes of this site are told beforehand that their photo will be displayed, along with their answers to questions. but, do they know that people can make comments on their photo/answers? this is significant because the stakes are significantly higher if people can comment on one's photo and responses than if such comments were impossible. honestly, i can speak for everyone who visits this site and say that when we see the photo and then the "comment" link, we're thinking "hot or not." For me, the prospect of seeing several comments saying "not" would be too much to bare. Add to that the possibility of people making fun of my favourite place to shoppe, or how much i'd spend for kicks, and really i might decline the request to be featured on fresno famous.
...that is, if someone would ask to feature me...wtf is up with that, anyway?? i've never been asked to have my photo taken...
