not worth it

I've seen these lofts...they are way over priced.....when I was there, they couldn't even move anyone in because of fire code laws.....they got in over their heads and are going to pay big time....

is it worth it???

it actually looks nice inside. everything is coming along great, but its only good if you're single and rich. its nice but it is so not worth 400k...i was walking around in circles...the space is extremely small, but the view is great...I guess if you can afford it and don't mind the small space, kudos to you and enjoy the view.

A few years ago i had the pleasure of touring the lofts and hearing from the building manager (I was there with a class from CSUF). At that time they wanted to sell them for 300k- which was a crazy price compared to what homes were going for at the time... So I asked her, "What do you think will happen when you have people of significant wealth moving into these lovely little lofts, yet surrounded (on the mall) by all these other people who live in such poverty?" I thought it was a good question, but she didn't because she had no idea what i was talking about. She mumbled a little bit, and then said something about buying a loft for 300k didnt necessarily make you wealthy.

hmmmm......

My Vote?

put haybails on the outside walls, throw up some metal grilles on the windows, kick on the ceiling exhaust vents, and make spiraling indoor midget racing tracks...
(bring some class to da joint...)

(NOTE)
these are like small four cylinder sprint-cars,
-NOT people of tiny physical build...
(yeeesh, better make THAT clear.)

'OotV is talking about racing short people... OotV is talking about racing short people...
(yes,,, I love Randy Newman, -No I do not have that album....)

office space ?

They do have quite a bit of businesses already, so that is my guess for the middle floors: more offices. Easier then converting to lofts I am certain.

Who, I ask ...

Who is going to be at one time both fabulous enough to live downtown and have the money to afford 400k?

lofts, lofts and ... ?

What I want to know (and what the story didn't mention) is this: What the hell are they going to have in the MIDDLE floors? Jumbo open spaces to run around in and do cartwheels?
