On April 28th there will be a phenomenal family event celebrating Earth Day, here in Fresno. This year's class of Leadership Fresno, sponsored by the Greater Area Fresno Chamber of Commerce, is coordinating the event at Eaton Plaza. Please visit our website at www.earthdayfresno.org.
Beyond being able to visit a host of environmentally themed vendor and informational booths, there will be a bike safety rodeo, children's games and crafts, prizes, live musical entertainment, discussion panels on air quality and solar energy, and finally the day will culminate in an Oxford debate on nuclear energy. (Personally, I'm really curious and amused to see what an "Oxford debate" is really like!)
We've also had the wonderful pleasure of extending invitations to 30 local science students who participated in this year's Fresno County Office of Education- Science Fair. We can't wait for them to display their science projects at the celebration!
We specifically chose Eaton Plaza, instead of a North Fresno park, to make it truly accessible to ALL of the families in Fresno who have a personal stake in the future health of our children, and also to highlight the wonderful changes in the air for downtown Fresno.
dark humor example # 345, (sometimes it just writes itself...)
from deliberatly NOT going to woodward park to winding up in Clovis in twelve months...

This Was last Year
The Earth Day mentioned was from last year. I have heard of an Earth Day this year but I cannot think of where it is located. Clovis?
